Description
Takamine GN75CE WR NEX Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar with a solid spruce top, quilt maple back and sides, a maple neck, a laurel fingerboard, and a Wine Red finish.
I've been playing guitar for over 30 years. I started as a studio musician in Los Angeles, and now I run Terry Carter Music Store and a music education platform that has taught thousands of students how to play.
The GN75CE is the newest addition to Takamine's G Series NEX line. A solid spruce top, quilt maple back and sides, striking oval pearloid inlays, and a "Grass Flower" pickguard over black make it as distinctive to look at as it is to play, and the TK-40D preamp is ready for the stage.

Common questions
What tuning does the Takamine GN75CE use?
Standard guitar tuning, E-A-D-G-B-E from the lowest string to the highest.
Is the GN75CE a solid-wood guitar?
The top is solid spruce, which is the part of the guitar that matters most for tone and projection. The back and sides are quilt maple, and the neck is maple.
Can I plug the GN75CE into an amp or PA?
Yes. It is an acoustic-electric with a Takamine TK-40D preamp, which gives you a built-in tuner, three-band EQ, gain control, mid contour switch, notch filter, and EQ bypass switch, so you can plug straight into an amp or PA.
Does the GN75CE have a cutaway?
Yes. The GN75CE is a NEX Cutaway model, which makes the upper frets easier to reach.
Is the GN75CE right-handed or left-handed?
This listing is the right-handed GN75CE WR. Takamine also makes left-handed versions of some models, and we list those separately where available.
Does the GN75CE come with a case?
No. Takamine does not include a case with the GN75CE. The compatible case is the Takamine CTAKSH200A semi-hard case, which is sold separately.
What is the difference between the Takamine GN75CE WR and the GN75CE TBK?
The GN75CE WR and the GN75CE TBK are the same guitar, a NEX cutaway with a solid spruce top, quilt maple back and sides, a maple neck, a laurel fingerboard, and the TK-40D preamp. The only difference is the finish: Wine Red versus Transparent Black.
