What tuning does the Takamine GD37CE-12 use?
Standard 12-string tuning. Each of the six notes, E-A-D-G-B-E, is played by a pair of strings. On the lower four pairs the second string is tuned an octave higher, and the two highest pairs are tuned in unison.
Is the GD37CE-12 a solid-wood guitar?
The top is solid spruce, which is the part of the guitar that matters most for tone and projection. The back and sides are maple, and the neck is mahogany.
Can I plug the GD37CE-12 into an amp or PA?
Yes. It is an acoustic-electric with a Takamine TP-3G preamp, which gives you three-band EQ and a chromatic tuner, so you can plug straight into an amp or PA.

Is a 12-string harder to play than a 6-string?
