What tuning does the Takamine GD30CE-12 use?
Standard 12-string tuning. Each of the six notes, E-A-D-G-B-E, is played by a pair of strings. On the lower four pairs the second string is tuned an octave higher, and the two highest pairs are tuned in unison.
Is the GD30CE-12 a solid-wood guitar?
The top is solid spruce, which is the part of the guitar that matters most for tone and projection. The back and sides are okoume, and the neck is mahogany.
Can I plug the GD30CE-12 into an amp or PA?
Yes. It is an acoustic-electric with a Takamine TP-4TD preamp, which gives you a built-in tuner, three-band EQ, and gain controls, so you can plug straight into an amp or PA.
