Description
Takamine GC6CE NAT Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar with a solid spruce top, black walnut back and sides, a mahogany neck, a laurel fingerboard, and a gloss natural finish.
I've been playing guitar for over 30 years. I started as a studio musician in Los Angeles, and now I run Terry Carter Music Store and a music education platform that has taught thousands of students how to play.
Takamine has a long history of making great classical guitars at a great value, and the tradition continues with the GC6CE, a solid spruce-topped classical cutaway with a distinctive oval soundhole, black walnut back and sides, and legendary Takamine electronics for easy stage amplification, finished in gloss natural.

Common questions
What tuning does the Takamine GC6CE NAT use?
Standard guitar tuning, E-A-D-G-B-E from the lowest string to the highest.
Is the GC6CE NAT a solid-wood guitar?
The top is solid spruce, which is the part of the guitar that matters most for tone and projection. The back and sides are black walnut, and the neck is mahogany.
Does the GC6CE NAT use nylon or steel strings?
Nylon. It is a classical guitar with a 51 mm (2.01 in) nut, wider than a steel-string guitar, which gives your fingers more room between the strings.
Can I plug the GC6CE NAT into an amp or PA?
Yes. It is an acoustic-electric with a Takamine TP-4T preamp, so you can plug straight into an amp or PA.
Does the GC6CE NAT have a cutaway?
Yes. The GC6CE NAT is a Classical Cutaway model, which makes the upper frets easier to reach.
Does the GC6CE NAT come with a case?
No. Takamine does not include a case with the GC6CE NAT. The compatible case is the Takamine CTAKSH300A semi-hard case, which is sold separately.
What is the difference between the Takamine GC6CE NAT and the GC6CE BLK?
The two are the same guitar in different finishes. The GC6CE NAT is finished in gloss natural, and the GC6CE BLK is finished in gloss black. Both have a solid spruce top, black walnut back and sides, an oval soundhole, a Venetian-style cutaway, and the TP-4T preamp.
