Is the GC2CE a solid-wood guitar?
The top is fan-braced spruce, which is not described as solid. The back and sides are sapele, and the neck is mahogany.
Does the GC2CE use nylon or steel strings?
Nylon. It is a classical guitar with a 50.8 mm (2.00 in) nut, wider than a steel-string guitar, which gives your fingers more room between the strings.
Can I plug the GC2CE into an amp or PA?
Yes. It is an acoustic-electric with a Takamine TP-4T preamp, which gives you a built-in tuner with volume, bass, middle and treble controls, so you can plug straight into an amp or PA.
Does the GC2CE have a cutaway?
Yes. The GC2CE is a Classical Cutaway model, which makes the upper frets easier to reach.
Does the GC2CE come with a case?
No. Takamine does not include a case with the GC2CE. The compatible case is the Takamine CTAKSH300A semi-hard case, which is sold separately.
What is the difference between the Takamine GC2CE and the GC2?
