How does the donut padding protect an open-back banjo?
Both the lid and the base use Crossrock's "donut" cushioning, a padded ring that holds the rim so the open back and the bridge don't touch the shell. It's built for 17-fret open-back tenor banjos and is shaped to fit the Vega Tubaphone closely. For other makes, check your banjo against the interior measurements above: 33.46" overall length and an 11.22" body diameter. The three movable padding blocks take up slack on banjos that are a little smaller.
What if my tenor banjo has a resonator?
