Kanile'a KG-5 Master Grade Hawaiian Koa OOO Acoustic Guitar + 12-Month Lessons is Kanile'a's flagship and the first full-size guitar it ever built. The body is six pieces of solid Master Grade curly Hawaiian koa from Hawaiʻi Island, with a solid Honduran mahogany neck, a solid West African ebony fretboard, bridge and headplate, solid Sitka spruce bracing in Kanile'a's TRG pattern, Pāua abalone body purfling and fretboard inlay, flamed maple fretboard and headstock purfling, an ebony bevel cutaway, TRU-Relief arm contour and the Komo ʻEkolu (Three Rings) side sound port. It is an OOO/OM-14 layout with a 25” scale and a 1.75” nut. It comes with 12 months of Rock Like The Pros online guitar lessons for all levels, including weekly live Zoom lessons with Terry Carter.

What is TRU-Relief?
TRU-Relief is a contour in the edge of the body where your strumming arm rests. On the KG-5 the body is 3 5/8” deep at the relief, at a 15° angle over 4”.
What is the Komo ʻEkolu side sound port?
Komo ʻEkolu means Three Rings. The side port lets you hear your own tone more clearly while you play.
