Included with the Cremona SVA-130 16" Viola is a lightweight semi-shaped case, so you’re ready to roll the moment it arrives. Also, you get the A. Breton AB-112 Brazilwood Bow with white horsehair, which certainly adds that pro-level touch right out the gate.
Furthermore, the viola features a Cremona VP-202/V bridge and inlaid purfling, which means you get both style and stability. Finally, the premium steel strings tuned C-G-D-A and A. Breton VP-61/V tailpiece bring it all home with clarity and precision.
What size player is a 16" viola for?
A 16" viola generally suits most adults and older teenagers, with an arm length of roughly 25 inches or more. Measure from the side of the neck, along the outstretched arm, to the middle of the palm. Sizing follows the player's reach rather than age alone, so measure before choosing.
If a measurement falls between two sizes, the smaller size is usually the safer choice — an oversized instrument makes good left-hand technique harder to learn.
Viola sizes run, smallest to largest: 12", 13", 14", 15", and 16".
This is the largest size. The next size down is a 15" viola.
