Pepe Romero CUSTOM Tenor Ukulele 1893 Piano Project "TORRES"

** NOTE - Pepe stayed true and left all original characteristics of the wood taken the piano. The wood is not flawless, nor is it meant to be, but know that Pepe has build this instrument to be played and be around for another 100 years.
The 1893 Piano Project is underway! These instruments are both brand new and almost 130 years old at the same time. Since the time of Antonio de Torres, this spruce has been singing as a piano. This piano was made in New York in 1893 which was beyond repair. I have salvaged the beautiful soundboard and Built several classical guitars, mini guitars and ukuleles! This Piano had been painted over so I do not know the manufacturer. Inside the piano it was dated 1893 and called “Grand Overstrung Model.” I believe that the soundboard used was beautiful Adarondak Spruce. The instruments which I am now building are both brand new and antiques at the same time. These brand new instruments have been singing for almost 130 years. The tone is old world, mystical and deep with amazing power, sustain and overtones. Giving new life to this piano has been a wonderful experience.
