It was NAMM many year ago that KoAloha had a batch of Naupaka's. I remember the very first time I saw them, I was blown away by how cool they looked. I had never seen a ukulele that looked as cool as the Naupaka's.
What is a KoAloha Naupaka?
It's a 1/2 Solid Mango and 1/2 Solid Hawaiian Koa. It's a perfect balence of light and dark as they alternate the light Mango and the dark Koa on the top, sides, and back.
Koa is a wonderfully lush and balanced wood that produces rich overtones, which is why it's the #1 wood used on Hawaiian ukuleles. Mango is a warm and luscious wood that accentuates the mid range and tonal spectrum.
Combine the Koa and the Mango together and you get MAGIC!!!
