Kanile'a K-1 T Natural Tenor Ukulele Hawaiian Koa "Waipoula" Satin Finish
This may be one of the nicest "Select" Grade Koa that I have ever seen. The straight grained Koa qualifies it as "Select" but colors the variation and even the little bit of curl you see on the top could easily put it in the "Deluxe" Grade category.
The all solid Koa wood Kanile'a Natural ukulele has UV cured top, sides, and back which gives is a beautiful satin finish (non-gloss).
The wood used to make the Natural line of ukuleles has to be nicer pieces of wood since minor imperfections can be hidden with a ukulele that has a high gloss finish.
Many ukulele and guitar builders believe the satin finish helps wood of the instrument breath better and creates a warm and beautiful tone.

The standard grade Koa wood, which Kanile'a calls "Select" has the straightest grain that you can find in Koa wood. The bold and straight wood grain gives a look of power and appeal that will make anyone do a double take when they see you playing this beautiful instrument.
