All Solid MASTERGRADE Curly Hawaiian Koa on this baritone masterpiece. Kanile'a has 4 levels of wood grain: Select, Deluxe, Premium, and Mastergrade. Mastergrade is by far the most stunning wood you will see on instruments.
Although technically the grade of the wood should not effect the sound, I always fine that there is something special about the sound of the mastergrade wood.
Kanile'a rarely uses MASTERGRADE wood on baritone ukuleles, they usually reserve the mastergrade wood for their Custom and their Platinum lines of ukes.
