The Kanilea GL6 guitarlele is for those that want the most out of their guitarlele. It's perfect of the guitar player delving into the world of ukulele or for the ukulele player that is ready to expand their playing with 2 extra strings.
The Kanilea is one of the few companies that is holding true to the Hawaiian tradition and building all solid koa wood guitarleles. A difference you can see and hear.
Another great highlight of the Kanilea 6-String Guitarlele is the 2 inch nut width and the ultra slim neck. The GL6 is a baritone scale length (20 inches from nut to sadlle) and the tuning is A to A (A-D-G-C-E-A), as if you capo a guitar at the 5th fret or if you add a low D and A string to your standard ukulele.
The Kanilea guitarlele offers a beautiful rich tone with it's super tenor deep body build.

* CUSTOM SETUP - Each Kanilea comes with a factory setup BUT I strongly recommend adding a setup especially if you want the easiest playability, have arthritis, or are particular about your setups and want a low action (how close the strings are to the fretboard) please click the "ADD Custom Setup" on this page.
* REQUIRED FOR WARRANTY - I cannot stress how important a humidifier is and I HIGHLY encourage you to get one. No matter where you live humidifiers not only protect your investment but also help the warranty process go smoother because you have taken the steps to ensure the safety and protection of your ukulele. If you ever have to file a claim with Kanilea the first question they will ask if you have a humidifier.
