Kala UBASS-EBY-FSRW Striped Ebony Ubass "Fire Island" Round Wound Strings
The Kala U-Bass is BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND but this one has Round Wound Strings.
When I first opened my online store, store.ukelikethepros.com I carried all the lines of the Kala UBass. Although they did sell pretty well I stopped stocking them.
BUT, because so many of you have asked for it I have brought back the Kala U-Bass including my favorite model, the Striped Ebony EBY-FS.
If your new to the UBASS, it is a bass the size of a baritone ukulele (20 Inch Scale Length) and tuned E-A-D-G (just like a standard bass).
I remember years ago when I first saw these Kala U-Basses, I was doing a gig and the bass player had one and I thought it was so unique and so COOL.
This U-Bass is the same as the EBY-FS but this one has Kala Round Wound strings These are more traditional feeling and looking strings, like most bass players play (unlike the rubber Road Toad strings on the EBY-FS).
These Kala Round Wound strings have more bit and crispness to them and give you the feel and tone that you associate with the sound of the bass.
Although these Kala U-Bass EBY-FS-RW are tuned like a traditional bass (E-A-D-G) but the small size makes they very approachable for the ukulele player or the bass player that wants a portable bass that doesn't sacrifice tone or feel.
If you're ready to take your group and your individual ukulele playing to a higher standard, then you are ready for the Kala Striped Ebony U-BASS. Fun to play when alone practicing or performing and just a whole lot more fun to add to a jam.
The beautiful Striped Ebony U-BASS has a deep brown color with reddish-brown striping. The Maple binding creates a striking contrast with the Ebony body, helping the striping stand out. The Shadow U-BASS NFX built in pickup and tuner just make the sound huge.
