I am so happy to welcome Pono to Uke Like The Pros. I have heard many great things about Pono over the years and decided it was time to pull the trigger and bring them into my store.
My first impression of the Pono AT Solid Acacia Tenor is WOW!!! Really well made with all solid Acacia wood, craftsmanship, and quality parts (ebony fretboard, truss rod, and Grover tuners).
As the biggest and #1 online ukulele store sometimes I bring in brands that do not meet my expectations, BUT, Pono not only met my high standards but exceeded them.
Acacia is a beautiful looking and sounding wood. As a cousin to Hawaiian Koa it has a bold and woodsy sound with a little more bite and clarity.
The Pono AT solid Acacia Tenor is fantastic price point to fill in the much needed space between the Kala or Ohana ukuleles to the high end Hawaiian brands.
